The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Continuing Education Specialist 3. This individual will involve management of the Education Program within the Division of Integrated Care & Public Health, which is focused on: 1) assisting healthcare organizations with implementing evidence-based integrated mental health programs, and 2) conducting mental health services research. The Educational Specialist will work closely with the Associate Director for Education to develop and implement a strategic plan for the program and will have p! rimary responsibility for executing that plan in collaboration with the Associate Director. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Educational Development Activities: • Develop content and methods for educational and training tools in collaboration with subject matter experts (e.g.

physicians, psychologists, program managers); • Develop and support educational content delivery on distance learning platforms and online; • Coordinate integrated care implementation materials, including slides, handouts, and similar materials, including tracking on various versions, types and locations; • Support evaluation of training activities and educational materials including conducting surveys, collating data, performing basic statistics and summarizing qualitative data; • Generate data driven reports using summary statistics; • Monitor and update website content and create new web pages; • Develop and manage project timelines, providing regular updates ! to the Associate Director; • Provide project management for all Ed! ucation Program activities, insuring that projects and activities are completed satisfactorily on time and on budget; • As necessary, identify and hire external vendors, monitoring their progress toward deliverables. Education and Training Support: • Coordinate the logistics and materials for training and technical assistance activities, including arranging logistics, travel, presenters, and preparing and collating materials, etc; • Coordinate Continuing Education credit (CME and CEU) approvals as needed; • Maintain a database of trainings delivered and trainee contact information. Other Related work: • May direct the work of assigned staff; • Perform related duties as required. Lead Responsibilities: This position will have independent responsibility to develop and implement a strategic plan for the Division of ICPH education program and will have primary responsibility for executing that plan in collaboration with the Associate Director withi! n a highly visible and productive Center within the University.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in education and four years of experience in adult and/or distance education. Additional requirements: • Experience with development and delivery of educational programs and materials related to mental health and/or medical care.

• Training and experience with adult learning theory. • Experience working with instructional design. • Experience with distance learning education or online learning. • Proficiency with medical terminology.

• Experience in an academic setting. • Experience working with MDs, RNs and PhDs to develop educational content. • Proficiency in the use of the following software applications: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlo! ok. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qua! lifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

DESIRED: • Demonstrated attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to interact positively with a wide variety of people. • Ability to prioritize work appropriately and to work effectively both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision. • Ability to work on several different projects and with several different staff members simultaneously.
