part-time Social Worker to work nights, including weekends and holidays
. This position provides direct services to patients, families, and staff as part of an interdiscipl! inary team. Areas of coverage may include any or all of the following: Med/Surg, Critical Care, Mother/Baby, Oncology, Orthopedic, and Psychiatry. It is responsible for patient clinical assessment and treatment recommendations, along with coordinating resources to provide:
After hospital planning
Identification/resolution of problems related to patients' transitions within the health care setting
Psychological support or crisis intervention, and
Appropriate utilization of organizational resources including appropriate length of stay.
Requires a minimum of a BSW from an accredited university, with MSW preferred. Candidate must possess one of the following licenses from the state of Washington: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW), or be eligible to register as an Agency Affiliated Counselor upon hire.
Should also have familiarity with utilization management criteria a! nd broad knowledge of community resources, medical terminology! , hospital systems, insurance guidelines, and financial and risk management issues. Prefer 2 years experience in a health care setting.
