Lincoln City Libraries is looking to hire a Full-Time (40 hours per week) Library Service Associate. This position will work in our Support Services Department, located in Bennett Martin Public Library (136 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508). Normal work schedule will be 9am-6pm Monday-Friday (1 hour meal break).

The Support Services Department and Lincoln City Libraries provides excellent customer service both internally and externally in “behind the scenes” roles with the goal of getting library materials into the hands of customers accurately and efficiently. This position provides copy cataloging based on current national and local cataloging standards, assigning call numbers and subject headings, and resolving cataloging problems. Additional responsibilities include online catalog maintenance, processing of library materials, printing labels, performing data entry functions and other tasks as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent and 6 months of experience providing customer service to the public; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.
To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and unclassified employees are not eligible for benefits.
