Honeybee is excited to add a shipping and receiving clerk to the team. This position will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse. Job duties include tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Process outside and internal deliveries – review against accompanying documents, purchase orders or Traveler. Check for accuracy.

    Accepts incoming shipments upon arrival at the dock.
  • Conduct visual receiving inspection on all items and/or process to QC for additional inspections as applicable.
  • Distribute the received products to the appropriate department or holding areas.
  • Notify departments of merchandise receipt as applicable.
  • Performs tasks that may require the use of a hand truck, forklift, or other material handling equipment.
  • Examines records such as purchase orders, packing slips, waybills, logs, etc., to ensure completeness of all incoming shipments and accuracy of records.
  • Add labels for chemicals as required per internal processes.
  • Pull inventory items as required.
  • Complete daily shipping log and supporting documents for Sales invoicing transactions.
  • Maintain shipping receiving area in an orderly fashion.
  • Maintain shipping supplies as required.
  • Prepares, packs, and ships all outgoing merchandise according to department procedures.
  • Coordinate shipments with freight vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a Shipping & Receiving capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Applications.
  • Familiar with handling delicate machined components or ESD-sensitive parts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
