Works collaboratively with the Consultation and Liaison interdisc! iplinary team to provide psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, disposition recommendation, utilization review and community resources for patients and their families in the Emergency Department and medical units; the core values of Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety and Respect are integrated comprehensively into the work environment; maintains current competency requirements, both initial and targeted.
Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology or marriage/family therapy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 plus years of practice in mental health or emergency psychiatry with specific experience in emergency psychiatric evaluations and risk assessment or equivalent education and/or experience
WA State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registration (CG) (current or pending) or WA State Social Worker Advanced License (LASW) or WA State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or WA State Mental Health Counselor (LH) ! or WA State Psychologist License (PY) or WA State Marriage/Fam! ily Therapist (LF)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills to include the ability to promote a healing, trusting environment and to establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and families
Able to teach, mentor, manage conflicting priorities and manage time effectively and efficiently
Able to make sound judgment in clinical decision-making using information from multiple sources with attention to detail
Independent care decisions
Ability to function effectively as a team member in an interdisciplinary primary care team.
Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or less
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 plus years experience in the care of the acutely ill psychiatric patient with experience in emergency assessment
Experience in hospital or other medical setting
