The Consulting Psychiatrist consults with the primary care providers regarding patient diagnoses and treatment plans, including medication management. Provide direct patient service for init! ial assessment and diagnosis, as well as medication recommendations. All referrals to the Consulting Psychiatrist must come through the primary care provider or other mental health staff. Work in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcare’s Mission, Guiding Principles and goals.
Meet regularly with the primary care providers and mental health staff to discuss patient management. See patients referred by the primary care providers. Complete all fee slips and chart notes according to current policies. In EMR, resolve inbox task, add information to required fields; medication and allergies.
Work closely with other staff members as part of an interdisciplinary team. Attend meetings as scheduled. May provide supervision of or training for students who are assigned to Neighborcare Health as part of their professional education. This is a Part-time, 17 hours a week position.
The position serves multiple Neighbo! rcare health primary care sites in the city of Seattle, includ! ing Rainier Beach, High Point, Pike Market, 45th St, Greenwood Medical Clinics. Required Skills We are looking for an experienced person, 5+ years of psychiatry practice strongly preferred. Knowledge of the Community Mental Health system strongly preferred. Required Experience MD degree and additional Psychiatry residency training.
Minimum of one year as practicing psychiatrist. Experience with primary care consultation preferred. Experience with substance abuse and/or homeless clients preferred. Company Location Pike Market Medical Clinic (47) Job Location Seattle, WA, US.
