Summary

You are part of an internal communications team that shares share stories, information and insights about our customers, our business, technology and the industry at large. And to do that we need to leverage digital channels that reach our audiences where they are, that allow them to find the information and insights they need and want to do a fantastic job. That’s where you come in – as Digital Channels Expert you will be responsible for driving and optimizing our digital channels roadmap – first with a focus on our internal intranet (Neo) and channels such as Teams, Yammer… Tomorrow? Who knows!

Working with colleagues in Internal IT and across Communications and Employee Experience teams, you’ll be helping us deliver communications and information in the ways that work best for our colleagues and for the business, and ensure that we can foster the right company culture. Your work in optimizing and driving our channels’ roadmap and ensuring we are all equipped to make the most out of our digital communications platforms will directly contribute to encouraging open, transparent conversations and knowledge sharing across the organization, so we can all work better together as one single global team.


Main responsibilities

  • Drive the product roadmap, user experience and adoption for key digital channels
  • Overall technical owner and driver of our Neo (social intranet) solution. Co-owner of other digital channels.
    • Neo roadmap: manage ongoing releases and updates:
      • Prioritizing requests/improvements (e.g., new community requests/migrations; menu bar changes; implementation of org structure changes)
      • Escalate/pursue issues as needed
      • Ensure relevant testing and security/permissions checks
    • Coordination with Internal IT and relevant vendors (e.g., NTT), influencing product roadmap
  • Co-define (with stakeholders in communications and People & Culture) our channel strategy for global internal communications and our governance for those channels – particularly focusing on Neo, Yammer and Teams in 2023.
  • Co-design and optimize the user experience for our key digital communications channels based on your research with end-users and stakeholders;
    • Define user stories and drive through to implementation working with relevant stakeholders.
    • Usability consultancy and best practice sharing
  • Data/analytics: Define meaningful KPIs around digital channels usage and experience and develop/secure relevant metrics for ongoing monitoring and improvement and conduct, with relevant stakeholders, diagnostics and improvement planning.
  • Drive adoption/change management:
  • Deliver functional support and training on our channels as needed – initially with a strong focus on Neo (incl. development/delivery of live sessions and training content, both for end users and content contributors).
  • Promote/communicate use cases, and new features on different channels (Neo, Yammer, Teams)
  • Drive/contribute to ad-hoc projects that may arise e.g., redesigning architecture; launch of new features/channels
  • Lead/contribute to optimization of existing/emerging other internal communications channels: intranet, e-mail, live events, internal social channels, leadership group, etc.
  • Champion a user-focused approach across our digital channels, continually exploring new opportunities and experimenting with new platforms to provide our co-workers and other stakeholders with consistent and richer, more engaging internal communications.
  • Empower and encourage information and best practice sharing on digital channels through the iComms Council (internal communications network)
  • Contribute to setting new KPIs to measure how well our communications achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in digital channels/platforms management/projects marketing role. Change management, knowledge management and communications/marketing experience also valued.
  • Knowledge of digital communications tools. Employee experience knowledge an asset
  • Web/social technologies, CMS management and web analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, Yammer…)
  • Experience with Power BI and Power Automate also appreciated.
  • UX Design experience
  • HTML, CSS, JS basics will be considered a plus
  • Languages: Fluent English.
