_________________________________________________________________________ The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) assists individuals with intellectual disabilities and adults with disabling conditions due to aging, disease or accident, to gain access to the high quality, cost effective supports that they need. This position is within Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) located in Shoreline, WA, just north of Seattle. Fircrest RHC is located on a beautiful 80+ acre campus. Fircrest offers free parking, a walking path around campus, and a fitness room available to staff. Our campus is near several restaurants, shopping locations including Northgate Mall and the Metro bus-line. Fircrest is recruiting for a motivated and dynamic Physician 3. This position is permanent and full-time. Core work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm with Saturdays and S! undays as regularly scheduled days off. Duties:
Within Fircrest, a Residential Habilitation Center (RHC), provides medical services to clients with intellectual disabilities. Duties include, but not limited to: Provides medical care to clients with intellectual disabilities in a Residential Habilitation Center (RHC). Examines patients on admission and annual for physical and mental illness; prescribes and administers treatment care; performs minor medical and surgical procedures; supervises post-operative care. Makes rounds on living units, the Respite Care Unit and the Clinic; examines patients; provides medical care based on current standards of medical practice; maintains medical records at the level required by the Medical Superintendent and as described in the Physician's Desk Manual or as required by Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intel! lectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) and/or Nursing Facility regulations. Refers clients who require specific diagnostic services to a medical specialist at the RHC, in another medical facility, or hospital. Functions as the Primary Care Physician for assigned area; prepares medical plans; provides all necessary information; prepares reports and summaries of care; contacts the consultant (unless not required) and may attend the consultation. Follows up on the diagnosis, treatment, and recommendations made by the consultant. Maintains contact with consultants, hospital providers, guardians, and the interdisciplinary team (IDT) during these visits. Performs medical reviews on scheduled basis along with special reviews for quality assurance and other reviews. Medical reviews are complete summaries of the client’s past medical history, medical problems, diagnoses and prognosis, and clinical course, plus physical examination with summation of all findings in to a meaningful medical p! lan. Ensures review and documentation of medications and treatment for ! each client with input from the nurse, direct care staff, clinical pharmacist, psychologist, and other professional staff, depending upon habilitation goals every 90 days.

Qualifications:
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
A valid license to practice medicine and surgery in the State of Washington and eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Note: Eligibility for American Boards certification is required. Certification must be obtained within the six (6) month probationary period as a condition of continued employment.
Completion of an approved residency program in the designated specialty area.
