For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly see the descriptions. DESC is currently recruiting for an Intake Specialist to join our SAGE team.

Support, Advocacy, Growth & Employment (SAGE) is DESC's comprehensive outpatient mental health p! rogram. SAGE case managers, psychiatrists and nurses work with men and women (18 years and older), the vast majority of whom are or have been homeless, in assisting them in their journey towards recovery. This includes help with obtaining and maintaining housing, improving clinical and social stability, and enriching their level of independence and self-sufficiency.

The SAGE Intake Specialist has primary responsibility for receiving referrals to the SAGE Team and performing timely eligibility screening and intake activities associated with enrollment of a potential client into DESC mental health services. This position develops and implements initial goal planners/treatment plans; provides case management services to all clients until fully transferred to a primary case manager; and assures clients are made aware of their rights and that these rights are protected.

Minimum qualifications include:
Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined b! y current WAC's and RCW's, which typically requires a Master's! degree in social work or other relevant social or behavioral science or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

Two years of work experience in provision of treatment and/or intake work with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses (MSW or Relevant MA may substitute for 1 year of work requirement).

Interest or experience working with clients who are difficult to engage and may resist services.

Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred.
