The Co-Occurring Residential Program, otherwise known as CORP is nestled next to the Green River in Kent, WA. CORP, is a unique and special program that serves both men and women that typically stay anywhere between 60 - 90 days. Our program provides them with integrated treatment planning, groups, and classes. Some of our services include:
Full psychiatric evaluations conducted by the staff psychiatrist
Evidence-based mental health modalities
Diagnosis-specific groups for residents with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Bipolar Disorders and Traumatic Brain Injuries
Weekly mental health focus groups
Co-Educational groups and gender-specific process groups
Life-skills and time management training

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Health Services Specialist is responsible for providing quality health care services to all residents including assessing somatic conditions, oversight and delivery of medications according to procedure, and creating a favorable group climate for effective treatment. The Health Services Specialist is responsible for assessing healthcare needs and implementing individual treatment programming in collaboration with other staff. Specific responsibilities may vary due to shift assignments and credentials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must qualify for Washington State Health Care Assistant Level A Certification, including Nursing Assistant, Certified NA, Registered NA, uncertified MA, Certified Emergency Medical Technician, Certified First Responder; or
Graduate Certified Medical Assis! tant; or
Certified MA with 1-2 years' experience or with a Washington State HCA Certification for level A, C, E application in progress within 1 month of hire under the facilities authorized Physician; or
Certified as Washington State HCA-Level A, C, E., or
Have equivalent education, training and experience in a related field, or
Post clinical internship and/or complete Health Care Assistant Application or appropriate testing at the earliest and most available testing site no later than 8 weeks post testing and or hire. Must provide proof of application for certification or testing.
