The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Technologist 1 . This individual will perform laboratory techniques on animal models to investigate
neurodevelopmental disorders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile and analyze neocortical potentials data;
Operate scientific equipment;
Monitor computer visualization of post synaptic potentials essential;
Attend in laboratory meetings and planning sessions;
Prepare laboratory reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment;
Order and maintain laboratory instruments;
May direct the work of laboratory technicians, students and others;
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Laboratory Technician II, or a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of science or technology.
Demonstrated experience with neurodevelopmental disorders required.
Demonstrated experience analyzing datasets under multiple computational platforms.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Desired:
Experience with mouse models preferred.
Condition of Employment:
