Our Tacoma Behavioral Health Services team is searching for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join and contribute to their integrated care delivery services.
About Behavioral Health Services
We offer mental health services to Group Health members. We focus on the problems patients are currently having and help find ways to cope and to enact solutions. Our providers are trained and experienced in a variety of different areas working with primary care physicians and other specialty providers to coordinate and integrate patient care. Providers on our team include: Mental health therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners & registered nurses.
Group Health's Behavioral Health Services provides the following types of behavioral health care:
- Assessment and evaluation
- Individual and group psychotherapy
- Substance abuse (chemical dependency) counseling through our network
- Medication evaluation and management
- Psychological testing
- Outpatient treatment (in a clinic setting)
- Partial and full hospitalization (inpatient care)
- Detoxification (outpatient and inpatient)
The ideal Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner candidate will be a licensed Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing with a minimum of two years post Master's experience working with child/adolescent and adult populations within Inpatient and/or Outpatient settings. This ARNP will need to be flexible and willing to help others in this interdisciplinary team environment working with therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and RNs.

Qualifications
Education Minimum Education Requirements Masters Degree in nursing.
Preferred Education Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Knowledge/Skills Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills Outpatient services as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Behavioral Health treatment for children and families
Experience Minimum Experience Requirements 1 year Previous ARNP experience.
Preferred Experience Outpatient Psychiatric NP experiece
Expertise in child psychiatry
License/Certifications Minimum License/Certifications Requirements At time of hire Current Washington State RN license; eligible for Washington State ARNP license. National certification in primary or specialty field.
Preferred License/Certifications Able to obtain shortly after hire Eligible for Prescriptive Authority within 6 months.
