Physician or ARNP - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Location: Tacoma, Washington

Description: Multicare Health System is presently looking of Physician or ARNP - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry right now, this position will be depute in Washington. MultiCare Behavioral Health seeks a psychiatrist or psychiatric ARNP for weekend rounding and coverage on our Inpatient Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit at Tacoma General Hospital. The psy chiatrist or APP will independently evaluate and treat established inpatients (ages 13-17), coordinate inpatient care and collaborate with inpatient disciplines, screen and admit new patients to the unit, and assist with maintaining safety and clinical excellence on the service. Physical exams are completed by a rounding pediatrician and pediatric specialty consultations are available through Mary Bridge Hospital. The provider will also provide after-hours telephone coverage for the unit over the weekend. Compensation is a per diem rate.

Physician Requirements:

• Completion of psychiatric residency
• Board certified/eligible at time of employment
• Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

ARNP Requirements:

• Child/Adolescent psychiatric experience is preferr ed
• Graduate from a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program
• Licensed in the state of WA as a ARNP by the time of employment
• Board certified by the time of employment
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
