We are currently hiring for a full time, permanent Chemical Dependency Professional in Forks, WA.
JOB SUMMARY
The CD Professional is res! ponsible for providing multifaceted alcoholism and other drug abuse services within his/her credentialed area of expertise. This encompasses detox, information and referral, counseling, court services, patient and family follow-up, community education and all related clinical records and reporting requirements. The counselor is responsible to the Chemical Dependency Program Coordinator and may supervise clinical activities of Chemical Dependency Intern staff. Clinical supervision is provided by the Chemical Dependency Program Coordinator,Director and/or staff Psychiatrist.
Job Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in human services related field from an accredited college or university. Documentation of course work shall include successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits meeting all requirements of WAC 246- 811-030. (A two year degree with required coursework documentation may be considered with a minimum of four year’s work experien! ce in the provision of chemical dependency treatment in a cert! ified agency or facility).
2. Must maintain current certification with State of Washington Department of Health as Chemical Dependency Professional per Chapter 18.205 RCW (WAC 246-811).
B Experience:
1. Minimum of two years supervised work experience in the direct treatment of
substance abuse problems in an approved alcoholism agency or facility or
state approved drug abuse treatment facility. A B. A. Degree may be substituted
for one year of work experience.
2. Must demonstrate knowledge and competence of alcoholism and drug abuse
issues in accordance with WAC 246-811-010(5).
3 Shall have completed an HIV/ADIS training approved by DASA.
