Job Description:
Psychiatrist
Continuously exemplifies the mission, values and customer service philosophy of PeaceHealth in job performance and in relationships to others. To provide medical services within the scope of licensing, training and credentialing! .

• Practice of medicine within the scope of license.
• Practice of medicine within the scope of training.
• Practice of medicine within the scope of credentialing.
• Practice of medicine in accordance with the current standards of care.
• Practice of medicine in accordance with the quality criteria adopted by the clinic.
• Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served by demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

Required:

• Graduate of Accredited Medical School with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
• Completion of Accredited Residency.
• Board Certification in Specialty (must be obtained within three years of residency completion and keep current).
• Unrestricted License to practice within the State of Washington.
• Possession of Federal DEA number without restriction.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Medical center environment with frequent exposure to electricity, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, infectious waste, fumes or gases, radiation; occasional exposure to laser and constant exposure to blood borne pathogens and biological.
SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Sensory: Frequent speaking; constant! hearing; constant near and far vision; frequent depth
perception, ! peripheral vision, color accuracy, color discrimination and touch.
Physical: Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion and extension. Frequent torso/back
static position, stooping, bending and twisting. Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp, fine
manipulation, pinch, finger dexterity, supination/pronation, wrist flexion and ability to
operate hand controls. Occasional sitting. Constant standing and walking. Frequent
crouching/squatting and occasional climbing stairs and ramps.
Mental: Must have the ability to learn and prioritize multiple tasks within the scope and guidelines of this position and its licensure requirements, many requiring extremely complex cognitive capabilities.
