Position Summary
This position provides administrative support for the Risk Adjustment Department at MemorialCare Medical Foundation. Main support functions include medical records retrieval for health plan audits, filing, outreach mail-outs and coordination of other administrative tasks as assigned. Requires excellent communication skills and to be comfortable interacting with provider offices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Retrieve medical records from physician offices through EMR download, fax or in-office retrievals to support various health plan or internal audits such as but not limited to Medicare Risk Adjustment, Commercial Risk Adjustment and HEDIS.
- Coordinate and track external and internal audit projects. This will include monitoring and tracking retrieval status, liaison with chart retrieval vendors, and creating invoices for the project
- Communicates with provider offices for various risk adjustment related initiatives. Generates letters to physician offices to request information or to fax notifications on behalf of the risk adjustment program
- Assist with administrative tasks on behalf of the risk adjustment department. Assist clinical education team with creating education materials.
- Perform administrative tasks on behalf of the Risk Adjustment department including, but not limited to, photocopying, mail sorting, scanning, data-entry, maintaining schedules
- Professionally represent MCMF with superior communication skills, organizational ability and customer service
- Perform any additional/miscellaneous duties as requested/assigned by the management team within scope of knowledge/ability.

- Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Experience in a professional office work environment
- Superior communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent follow-through skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate ability to be independent and flexible
- Prior experience with an electronic medical records system
- Ability to multi-task and
- Reliable mode of transport and valid driver’s license
- Travel expectations across Orange County/Long Beach
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- High School diploma
