What you’ll be doing...
The Director – HR Business Partner is responsible for managing a team of HR professionals, proactively providing guidance and consultation to leaders and designing, aligning and executing HR strategies and initiatives to deliver operational performance and business results.
This hybrid role will lead HR Business Partner support the Great Lakes Sales Market which will include the SVP Market President, Retail VP Field Organization, and the market's Indirect Partner team.
Responsibilities:
Using your Human Resources expertise and business acumen, you will:
Lead clients through all people-related matters as they navigate challenges and embrace opportunities to transform the business
Design and develop workplace plans, organizational structures, initiatives, projects and staffing aligned with business strategies
Develop and drive talent agendas and employee growth & development
Model outstanding leadership by creating a collaborative, supportive and respectful environment that increases the participation and contribution of all team members and an environment where everyone can thrive
Foster a culture where the employee experience is comprised of purpose-driven behaviors, which enables engagement while mitigating risk
Lead, motivate, and engage your team to deliver exceptional results
Drive and deliver on our compensation, coaching and performance management strategies
Navigate and manage through complex employee relations circumstances and have a strong understanding of employment and labor law
Set priorities, plan work, and monitor progress to drive HR initiatives
Support senior business leaders to manage performance effectively
Provide expert advice on ethics, compliance, and employee relations issues
Provide guidance on human resource policies and procedures
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of relevant experience in HR or a related field
Experience leading a team of HR professionals
Strong consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
Proven expertise influencing key stakeholders and senior leaders through relationships, expertise and data
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead in a highly matrixed environment
Executive presence and proven ability to establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels
Strong business acumen with broad understanding of business operations
Insightful, forward thinker; change agent
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proven oral, presentation and written communication skills
Role is based in Rolling Meadows, IL and travel within market (approx. 50-75%) will be required
