Helly Hansen is looking for a Consumer Insights Manager

As the Consumer Insights Manager, your role will be to lead and manage consumer insight and research predominantly across brand, advertising and communications. Your responsibilities will include working with departments across the business to look and analyse trends, to feed consumer insights into creative and brand strategies as well as main categories, and to manage relationships with several third parties. You will display the ability to deliver clear and concise information and insights surrounding the actions you provide from the data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving, analysing, promptly summarising and delivering regular updates from different research sources (GWI, Kantar, Post-tests, etc..)
  • Receiving, analysing, promptly summarising and delivering regular brand health updates
  • Regularly tracking results on our tracking tools/research and implementing insights from this tool into campaign planning for the marketing activities
  • Leading and managing bespoke qualitative and quantitative research, including the interpretation of data and research groups with the support of lead strategic agencies
  • Providing input into annual marketing strategy plans and KPIs as well as in the development of campaign briefs
  • Providing recurring updates to the marketing and category product & design teams on consumer market research topics and trends
  • Champion and maintain the company’s knowledge and trends resources library
  • Planning ad hoc projects around advertising, packaging, new product development or in-store consumer testing feeding into strategy development
  • Scope and conduct analyses, translate your findings into a set of initial insights, and create compelling, visual graphic displays and presentations
  • Extract insights that inform and drive key strategic Brand priorities using various data sources and identify trends and anomalies
  • Become an invaluable project management resource for studies covering a variety of topics brand health, advertising measurement, product development, consumer attitudes and usage
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with planning teams within the lead strategic agencies – Brand / advertising and media
  • Working with internal stakeholders (digital team, category) to analyse internal data
  • Managing relationships with research companies on behalf of the marketing department
  • Managing the marketing research budget

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Background & knowledge working with brand health or brand image tracking either within an agency or in-house
  • Highly numerate and comfortable working with data
  • Confident working with qualitative research groups and pulling together stimulus
  • Foundational understanding of branding, advertising (traditional and digital), marketing concepts and strategy is preferred
  • Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous, strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency & a proactive approach
  • Strong planner, project manager and problem solver
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for senior management consumption
  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, relationship building and teamwork
  • Display organization dexterity
  • Experience working with external advertising and media agencies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in English
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and Adobe
  • Education: a Master’s degree in Marketing or Consumer behaviour (a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience can be considered)
  • 5 years + relevant experience in marketing, consulting or market research / insights, marketing analytics, corporate or agency with experience conducting analysis
  • Ability and appetite to deal with many balls in the air. Multi-task under pressure of timelines.

This position is a full-time employment at our Oslo Headquarters, but working remote from time to time can be agreed.
