For detail informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. DESC's Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) is currently recruiting for 4 Mental Health Professional (MHP). See website for specific shift information. The MCT MHP's are responsible for providing clinical and social assessments in the field; coordinating and problem solving with first responders and other referents; creating and developing detailed recovery oriented disposition plans; linking clients with appropriate community resources; facilitating crisis resolution in the least restrictive environmen! t; and assisting with arranging or providing transportation of! the individuals in crisis to appropriate facilities as needed. This position will be mobilized to respond quickly to requests for crisis intervention services throughout King County in all manner of community settings and in all types of weather. The MCT is one of three teams providing services out of the Crisis Solutions Center (CSC), a 24/7 residential treatment facility which provides a more therapeutic, less expensive, and more effective alternative for individuals in mental health crisis than the extremes of jail or the emergency room.
DESC's Crisis Diversion Facility (CDF) is currently recruiting for a night shift Mental Health Professional. The CDF MHP will join a multi-disciplinary team of mental health, chemical dependency and social work professionals providing rapid stabilization, treatment and referrals for individuals in crisis. A 24/7 residential treatment facility, the CSC provides a more therapeutic, less expensive, and more effective alternative f! or individuals in mental health crisis than the extremes of jail or the emergency room as well as giving first responders an alternative to doing nothing.
The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Professional / Case Manager. Open 12 hours a day, Monday-Friday, and 8 hours a day on weekends & holidays, PACT is a nationally recognized practice that works with people with serious and persistent mental illness, assisting them in their journey towards recovery. The PACT model is distinguished by its intensive outreach and trans-disciplinary approach, as well as:
Team Approach - DESC's PACT team consists of a psychiatrist, a psychiatric ARNP, nurses, mental health professionals, chemical dependency specialists, vocational specialists, social workers, and peer specialists all working together to help PACT participants reach their goals.
Small Caseload - Our team consists of 12-14 staff serving about! 90 participants. This results in a ratio of about 9 participants for e! ach staff person.The team provides services in participants' home and community at least 75% of the time. All members of the team are expected to work with participants in a variety of shared functions.
Fixed Point of Responsibility - Rather than sending participants to a variety of providers for assistance, the team provides most - if not all - the services each participant needs.
Off-site Services - Staff provide most services in the community where the help is needed.
Time Unlimited - Services are provided as long as they are needed. There is no fixed timeline or mandatory cut-off point, but some participants do "graduate" to less intensive services.
Staff work at least 1 evening shift and 1 weekend day in their regular schedule and rotate holiday and on-call time. All staff need to have internet access at home for after-hours crisis coverage shifts, a valid current Washington State driver's license & access to an automobile for work p! urposes.

Meet minimum criteria as a Mental Health Professional as defined in RCW 71.05, WAC 388-865-0400 which typically requires Master's degree in a social work, psychology or other relevant behavioral science or Bachelor of Nursing degree with specialty in mental health.
Experience and skills in working with mentally ill individuals who are difficult to engage and may resist services.
Valid Washington state driver's license and insurable driving record.
For MCT and PACT: Able and willing to provide community outreach in King County.
