Description: Summit Eating Disorder & Outreach Program is currently seeking to employ Part Time Registered Nurse right now, this occupation will be situated in Washington. The Moore Center is expanding our services to include Residential Level of Care and will be recruiting additional nursing staff to supp! ort this Facility. The opening of the 24 hour Residential Program is in early Spring, but we are currently looking for qualified Nurses. Current and immediate opening is for a Part Time RN. Future needs will include both part time, full time and PRN positions.
SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is in charge of the patients’ bio-psycho, social-spiritual needs while participating in the PHP program. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to meet these needs. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the overall nursing unit functioning while on duty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Monitor Infection Control for patients and PHP staff members (illness; monitor wounds for signs and symptoms of infection)
Observe patients taking their me! dications (i.e. Antabuse)
Lead the Physical Self group
Take off and implement doctor orders
Update the medication reconciliation form; preparing this form for the patients' discharge
Collaborate with the MD to coordinate patient care
Follow-up with assessment to patient physical complaints
Communicate with treatment team (i.e. psychiatrist, medical doctor, therapists, PCAs)
Communicate daily with Director of Nursing about PHP patients and PHP events
Educate patients on their medications and their conditions
Deescalating patient/milieu management as needed
Follow up on treatment issues
Employee Health duties for PHP staff (TB tests, Drug screens, flu shots)
Check vital signs and record for abnormalities and follow-up as needed
