The Department of Social and Health Services' Developmental Disabilities Administration at Rainier School is currently recruiting for a dynamic, motivated Registered Nurse 2. This position is located in the Health Care Center and will work Night Shift (22:15 to 06:45) Tuesday through Saturday.

Duties:
Under the direction of a physician or supervising nurse prepares, carries out, evaluates and revises treatment p! lans for individual clients based on personal observations and! on the observations and recommendations of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologist and /or other nurses. Coordinates and provides professional working supervision of nursing care given by other nurses and support staff in Program Area Team (PAT) areas and other areas as needed. As a Primary Care Nurse (PCN) attends and participates in IHP, ad hocâs, admission/discharge meetings. Attends 90-day reviews and psych-med rounds, notes and carries out physician orders. Is responsible for nursing process as defined in state law and Rainier School nursing manual, initiates data collection and analysis that includes pertinent objective and subjective data regarding the health status of clients and initiates and updates care plans as indicated. Completes nursing assessments, nursing care plans, nursing orders including those for special needs, quarterly nursing reviews, and are script managers for self med programs and training programs. Performs on-going client assessments, includ! ing assimilation of data gathered from other members of the health care team. Uses client data and nursing scientific principles to develop nursing diagnosis and to identify client problems in order to deliver effective nursing care. Implements the plan of care by direct nursing interventions or supervising and/or instructing other members of the care team. Evaluates client responses to nursing interventions and makes modifications consistent with the intended outcomes. Plans care that will assist clients and families to maintain or restore health or support the process of dying with dignity .
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
AND
A valid Washington State license to practice as a registered, professional nurse.
