Our Values are: Excellence in Service Respect Collaboration and Partnership Diversity The Aging and Disabilities Services (ADS) assists individuals with developmental disabilities and adults with disabling conditions due to aging, disease or accident, to gain access to the high quality, cost effective supports that they need. There are four organizational divisions within ADS. This position is within the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA); Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) located in Medical Lake, WA, just west of Spokane, WA. Lakeland Village is recruiting for a Permanent Physician 3. This position is full-time ; 8:00am to 4:30pm with Saturdays and Sundays as regularly scheduled days off . Duties:
Under the direction of the ICF PAT Director, this position is responsible for providing medical services for clients with intellectual disabilities and who are eligible under Washington Administrative Code for service from the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Provides service and recommendation to other medically qualified staff and professionals who work in the ICF/ID facility. Works in conjunction with other members of the Interdisciplinary team.

Performs disagnostic and treatment of disease and injuries of human internal organs systems. Provides care and treatment of residents that reside in a Developmental Disabilities residential ICF/ID facility. ! Duties include:

Examination
Diagnosis
History and Physicials
Treatment of physicial and mental illnesses
Prescribe and administer treatment/medication
Analyze laboratory and radiology reports
Insert and replace feeding tubes
Casting and splinting of fractures
Assist and perform minor surgery
IV Therapy
Supervise postoperative care
Make routine rounds to cottages where clients reside
Provide on call coverage on a regular basis for all clients/residents that reside in the facility
Provide all required documentation including assessments, physician orders, medical summaries and referrals to community specialist as needed
Attend IHP meetings
Attend case conferences
Medication Reviews
Consult with specialist for best practice
Provide coverage for the facility when other physicians are on leave or absent
Develop and organize procedures and policies for medical care in an institutional setting
Qualifications:
~ LEGAL REQUIREMENTS ~

A vali! d license to practice medicine and surgery in the state of Washington and eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Completion of an approved residency program in the designated specialty area.

Desirable Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and standars of modern medicine and surgery; worker compensation; industrial injuries and illness, occupational diseases, legal medicine sand disability process; laws and regulations concerning medical aspects of industrial insurance programs; principles of peer review and quality control in the practice of medicine; safety and health programs; epidemiology and disease and injury prevention; theory and practice of medicine and surgery, hospital administration, aboratory test, and radiology.

NOTE: This position has been designated emergent under the DSHS Emergency Operations Plan. Maintain all required certifications and other mandatory training including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Nurse Assistant Certified, and Therapeutic Options. Upon appointment, employee must have an initial tuberculosis (TB) screening and annually thereafter.
